St. George Lofts

65 Sheldrake Boulevard

65 Sheldrake Blvd, also known as St. George Lofts, is a unique loft condo conversion located in Lawrence Park, Toronto. The complex seamlessly fuses the traditional with the contemporary and offers its residents a true loft living experience. Originally the Eglinton United Church, the building was converted, in 2001, to house 33 stylish condo suites. The history of the church dates back to 1923 when it was first erected by the acclaimed architects Horwood & White.

The building’s exterior consists of limestone and brickwork and boasts an appearance that was modeled after Keeble College at Oxford University. The structure retained some of its church features through the conversion such as stained-glass windows, timber fames, high ceilings reaching 20 feet in some areas, and bulky church doors.

The building’s allure is further enhanced by its proximity to Yonge Street and all it has to offer. Complex residents enjoy a number of fashion stores, boutiques, gift shops, children’s stores, sporting goods stores, gourmet dining, bakeries, grocery stores, and coffee shops, as well as the Yonge-Eglinton Centre and the Silvercity movie theatre, located a short stroll down Yonge.

The units are simply exquisite and range from about 1,200 to over 3,000 square feet of living space. They feature hardwood floors throughout, floor-to-ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, a large terrace with terrific views of the neighbourhood, granite countertops in the kitchen, and marble foyers and bathrooms. Some units come complete with skylights.

St. George Lofts is nestled in Lawrence Park, a very prestigious Toronto neighborhood. Considered to be one of the most opulent neighbourhoods in Canada, Lawrence Park is contained within Yonge Street to the west, Bayview Avenue to the east, Blythwood Ravine to the south, and Lawrence Avenue to the north.

The area provides its residents with a quiet and serene setting and is known for being the most family friendly of all the wealthy neighborhoods in the city. Most residents stay within the confines of Lawrence Park and patronize its high profile restaurants and other establishments.

Lawrence Park has been home to a number of famous individuals such as former Major League Baseball president and current president of the Blue Jays Paul Beeston, founder and chairman of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Isadore Sharp, former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario John Tory, and first Canadian female astronaut Roberta Bondar.

For fans of urban loft living, the residences at 65 Sheldrake Blvd provide a tremendous opportunity for just that.
