The Republic

70 Roehampton and 25 Broadway

70 Roehampton Avenue and 25 Broadway Avenue are two superb condo towers located in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood in mid-town Toronto. The towers make up the residential community known as The Republic and are respectively 28 and 24 stories with 282 and 266 suites. Both buildings are a short stroll from the popular intersection of Yonge and Eglinton, affording residents a litany of shopping options, great eateries, lounges, public transit, and more.

Completed in 2010, the project was developed by Tridel, a leader in condo development with a multitude of luxurious structures around the Greater Toronto Area including the 101 Erskine located just a block north of The Republic, Aristo at Avonshire near the intersection of Yonge & 401, Argento at Don Mills and York Mills, and 300 Front Street West near the intersection of John and Front streets.

The magnificent, energy efficient towers boast a frameless glass entrance that gives onto a beauteous 2-storey lobby with large windows, abstract sculptures, a fireplace, and a friendly concierge manning the front desk on a 24-hour basis. Complex amenities include a party room, a theatre, a game room, a steam room, a spa, a health and fitness studio, underground parking, and a rooftop terrace complete with cabanas and barbecue stations.

The sublime and capacious suites are nothing short of stunning. In addition to dazzling finishes, they feature individual hydro metering, plank hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-suite laundry, 10-foot high ceilings, marble window sills, crown molding, porcelain tiling, 50 oz. broadloom carpeting in the bedroom, an encoded alarm system, a deep soaker tub, a frameless glass shower enclosure, and a full-size balcony.

The allure of the towers and suites is further enhanced by a neighbourhood that possesses a vibe of its own. Yonge and Eglinton consists of a chic, cosmopolitan setting with close proximity to the downtown core without the hectic atmosphere.

The area was once part the old Town of North Toronto. Over the last few decades, it underwent a residential development boom that was fueled by its centralized location. The neighbourhood is centered on the Yonge and Eglinton intersection, extends several city blocks in all four directions, and is very attractive to young professionals by virtue of its vibrant ambience.

To live at The Republic is to bask in the lap of luxury and prestige. From the beautifully designed towers and impeccable suites to the fantastic location, residents enjoy an urban lifestyle that is only found in a few select spots.
